The Venezuelan comedian Marko Pérez published a video on Facebook addressing Cubans who support Díaz-Canel, in which he mocks, with his characteristic straightforward humor, those who have appeared in recordings declaring they are "prepared" to face the United States army.
In the 58-second clip, Marko starts with a strong statement: "This is a message for the people who support Díaz-Canel on the island of Cuba, which statistically is 0.00000000000001% of the island and work with him."
The comedian mocks the actual military capability of those regime supporters, pointing out an obvious contradiction: "I see them in videos saying that when the imperialists come, we're ready. You’re not ready. You’re not prepared for the United States Army."
The phrase that resonated most with the audience was the rhetorical question that serves as the title of the video: "What are you going to hit it with if the weapons are broken? When that technological helicopter comes, what are you going to hit it with, a club? Or are you going to use that rock you have under the mattress?"
Marko doesn't stop there and takes the sarcasm to the extreme: "When you're about to throw the stone, don't throw it after the helicopter disintegrated you. Stop with your nonsense. Go on, run, hide in the hills."
The closing of the message is equally forceful: "If you're confused, you'll find out they took it away from you because Saint Peter will tell you. You won't even realize the shot they're going to give you. Saint Peter will tell you: for being ridiculous."
The video addresses a recurring phenomenon in Cuba: the appearance of citizens—usually connected to the State apparatus or the militias—in recordings where they declare their readiness to defend the revolution against a potential foreign military intervention, in line with the official doctrine known as "total people's war."
Marko Pérez has a close relationship with the Cuban community.
In December 2023, the comedian claimed that Cubans are viral by nature, and in March 2026 he hosted the digital reality show "El Desorden de Marko," where the Cuban Fiu Fiu (Rayner Tamayo) sent messages of support for the freedom of Cuba and became emotional to the point of tears while talking about his country, also moving Marko himself.
The Venezuelan influencer, based in the United States and with over 42 million followers on social media, ended the clip with a final warning to the officials: "You should have gone to the beach to swim. This goes in and is taken out in 30 seconds, and you will find out the next day through the news. Be stupid."
