The Cuban-American producer Emilio Estefan presented his song "Love Always Wins" this Thursday in Miami, which is included in the Official Album of the FIFA World Cup 2026, at a private event held at the Gary Nader Art Centre in the Wynwood neighborhood.
The event was attended by the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, the gallerist Gary Nader, and personalities from the world of sports and entertainment, in what was described as a night of color, familiar faces, and excitement in anticipation of the upcoming tournament.
The song was written and produced by Estefan and performed by the artist Zema, featuring Shaggy and Cimafunk. There is also a Spanish version titled "El amor siempre gana."
During the event, Estefan explained the spirit behind the theme: "I believe this song represents Miami, where we come from different places but also have a single sound. What does Miami sound like? The sound of Miami comes from Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico."
The producer also took the opportunity during the evening to make an announcement: "Tonight is the first party of the grand FIFA celebration, and don't miss it on July 3. I will be opening at the stadium with Miami Sound Machine. Get ready."
«Love Always Wins» is part of the Official Album of the FIFA World Cup 2026, a collection of 18 songs produced under the FIFA Sound label. The album features global artists such as Shakira and Burna Boy —the creators of «Dai Dai», the official song of the tournament—, Daddy Yankee, The Rolling Stones, Jelly Roll, Anitta, LISA, Rema, Future, and Tyla.
Esefan has a long history associated with major sporting events: it has produced Super Bowl halftime shows on three occasions and created the official anthem of the 2024 Leagues Cup, "Nuestros colores."
In May 2025, he was recognized as a Pioneer of Latino Sports in the United States, an occasion during which his role as the producer of the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup in Miami was also confirmed.
Miami is one of the U.S. venues for the tournament, with matches scheduled between June 15 and July 18, 2026, including a quarter-final and the third-place match. The World Cup is being held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Estefan's performance with Miami Sound Machine on July 3 at the stadium opening will be one of the standout moments of Miami's participation as the host city for the world's most-watched tournament.
