Michael Flores is going through one of the most painful moments of his life. The Puerto Rican influencer shared a heartbreaking message on social media this Monday following the death of his niece Laia Nazaret Dávila, who was only five years old, and who passed away on Sunday after an accident in a pool in Salinas, Puerto Rico.
The tragedy occurred at the San Miguel estate, where the little girl was found in the water and urgently transferred to the Sur Med Medical Center in Guayama. Despite medical efforts, the doctors confirmed her death.
Hours later, Michael broke the silence with words that reflect the profound pain experienced by the family.
"My soul hurts, I swear to you," he wrote in an initial post.
Later, he shared an even more moving message directed at the girl, hinting that he tried to help her during those critical moments.
"Laïa, forgive me. I tried with all my heart, with all my strength, to save your life. I hope that when we meet again in eternal life, you will forgive me. I love you… Uncle," he wrote.
According to Lieutenant Marilyn Torres from the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of Guayama, the events occurred during the filming of a music video featuring Michael Flores and the Dominican urban artist Denisse Michelle Tejada, known as La Perversa.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the minor briefly left the area where the family was located, and upon noticing her absence, those present started to look for her until they found her in the pool. Authorities indicated that the girl was the only person in the water at that time.
The case is still under investigation by the Homicide Division of the CIC of Guayama, although it has been preliminarily classified as an unfortunate incident.
The news sparked an immediate wave of solidarity in the entertainment world and on social media.
Among those who publicly expressed their condolences was Santiago Matías, known as Alofoke, who dedicated some heartfelt words to the influencer.
"Michael, I receive with deep sadness the news of your beloved niece's passing. There are no words enough to ease such great sorrow, but I want you to know that I stand by you in this very difficult time," he wrote.
Puerto Rican singer Jay Wheeler also reacted to the tragedy on his Instagram stories: "Michael Flores, brother. Praying for you and your family. Strength to all. What a sad and difficult time."
Messages of support were joined by other figures from the urban scene, including Juanka, who also sent words of strength to the family.
As friends, colleagues, and followers attempt to surround him with love, Michael Flores faces a loss that is impossible to comprehend, marked by the memory of a girl who, as reflected in the messages from those who knew her, left an indelible mark on everyone who loved her.
