The Cuban comedian Cuqui La Mora played a prank on her friend and fellow comedian Víctor Molina, making him believe she was planning to grow marijuana in a room of her house in Florida, using an artificial plant as a prop, in a video posted on Instagram last Sunday.
In the nearly five-minute clip, Cuqui sets up a hidden camera near where Víctor is sitting and secretly shares his supposed plan: to section off part of the property, keep only the Airbnb rooms operational, and use the remaining space to grow the plant, arguing that he needs money to pay off debts.
"I'm going to play a prank on Víctor; look what I have here! I'm going to tell him that I want to plant this here at the house and see what he does," Cuqui explains at the beginning of the video before approaching his friend with the fake plant in hand.
Víctor reacts with genuine concern from the very beginning, warning her that she would go to jail and pointing out that they would discover her due to the number of lamps needed for the cultivation. His immediate reaction upon hearing the plan was straightforward: "Are you crazy?"
Far from backing down, Cuqui insists and justifies the plan with numbers: “20,000, 30,000 dollars a month, isn’t it worth it?” he says, adding that the business would help him get out of debt. Víctor, unconvinced, even offers him money to abandon the idea: “If I give you a thousand pesos a month, doesn’t that make sense for you?” to which he replies, “Don’t provoke me.”
It's not the first time Víctor has fallen for his friend's tricks. In November 2024, Cuqui had already played another prank on him known as "the fish dies by the mouth," which also went viral among the followers of both comedians.
At the end of the video, Víctor discovers that the plant is artificial and that he was being recorded with a hidden camera. His reaction upon realizing this perfectly encapsulates the moment: "It's your joke, it's no joke, I want to read the plant."
Cuqui La Mora, whose real name is Aleanys Jáuregui, manages a vacation rental business at her property in Florida, which is a regular setting for her content on social media. The hashtag #cuquilamoraairbnb in the video directly refers to that business, which the comedian has actively promoted since her arrival in the United States in August 2022.
Víctor Molina arrived in Miami in December 2023, where he was surprised by Cuqui herself, and since then, they have maintained a very active friendship in the Cuban exile artist circuit, with frequent joint appearances on social media and at events.
In February 2025, Cuqui made Víctor's dream come true by taking him to New York, and in November of the same year Víctor revisited Cuqui's new house in Miami, solidifying a friendship that, at least on screen, continues to generate much discussion.
