The Cuban actress Yerlín Pérez announced this Thursday on her Facebook account that she is back home after being urgently hospitalized in Miami, where she has lived since 2022.
"I am back home recuperating VERY quickly," the actress wrote in her post on Facebook, without revealing the cause of her hospitalization or any additional medical details about her condition.
The message sparked a wave of affection: more than 1,500 people left comments wishing for a speedy recovery, a figure that speaks for itself regarding the love the Cuban public has for him, both for his humor and his work in drama.
In her post, Yerlín Pérez expressed her gratitude to those who supported her during the emergency with heartfelt words: "I don't know how to thank those who always stand by me for holding me up, for pampering me, for tolerating my mischief."
He named each person who stood by his side: he dedicated a special recognition to Jelliset Valdés — "What would I be without your pact or promise to be there when things get tough?" — and referred to Tania Gómez as "my sister in life."
He also thanked Delso Aquino Baños, Brianna Villanueva, Luis Manuel, Yare, Angela Reina Pérez Lorente, Raisa Rodríguez, Julio Triana, and Olga's Medicine.
One phrase from her message caught attention: addressing Eduard Aquino, she wrote that he is "the reason I come out of all these emergencies," suggesting that this would not be the actress's first urgent hospitalization.
Yerlín Pérez is one of the most beloved and versatile Cuban actresses of her generation.
She is particularly known for her character "Arturita" in the television comedy "Deja que yo te cuente," but her career also encompasses drama, telenovelas, and film, with participation in productions such as "La cara oculta de la luna," "De amores y esperanzas," and the movie "Yuli," where she played the mother of dancer Carlos Acosta.
She arrived in Miami in May 2022 after spending three months in Mexico and crossing the northern border into the United States, primarily motivated by her desire to reunite with her son.
Since arriving, he integrated into the Cuban artistic scene in exile: he participated in the program of comedian Carlucho on Univista TV and starred in the successful play "Fresa y Chocolate" at the Teatro Trail in Coral Gables, which achieved more than 46 performances with full houses from its premiere in December 2025 until March 2026.
Her life in exile is also marked by pain: her immigration status prevents her from traveling to Cuba to see her father, who is seriously ill in Havana, a reality she publicly shared in December 2025 and which resonated deeply within the Cuban community in exile.
The overwhelming response from her followers to the news of her hospitalization confirms that Yerlín Pérez holds a special place in the hearts of the Cuban public, who follow her with the same fervor whether she makes them laugh or moves them with drama.
