The content creator Alfredito Fominaya posted a video on Instagram that quickly went viral, as a direct response to the host of the television program Con Filo, Michel Torres Corona, who had labeled Fominaya and other creators critical of the regime as "frustrated."

In the clip, Fominaya accepts the label with irony and redefines it with a powerful list of reasons for being so.

"They want to kick us out with the gestures of frustrated ninjas. Hey, relax, nobody is going to kick you out. You’re staying. You are a spokesperson for a decaying system. And on the list of those leaving on the plane, you’re not on it," says the young man at the beginning of the video.

Then he lists his frustrations precisely: "I am frustrated to see children who cannot sleep because of the blackouts while you sleep with power."

It also directly points to state television: “I am frustrated that there are people without charisma, without talent, lying on television, while charismatic, intelligent, creative young people are being repressed for speaking the truth on social media.”

And he summarizes the country's historical crisis with a phrase: "I am frustrated that 67 years of communism have turned the pearl of the Caribbean into a giant dump."

The young man concluded the video with a warning that encapsulates the mood of a generation: "I am frustrated, but my frustration is fading, and yours is just beginning."

With Edge, produced by the state portal Cubadebate, is the main media instrument of the regime to attack digital dissent.

Torres Corona has launched attacks against several groups of young creators, including El4tico -whose members have been imprisoned for months after being detained in February in Holguín- and Fuera de la Caja, attacked by the program as “anti-communist propagandists”.

The pattern of Con Filo -discrediting critical creators before or during repression processes- means that the increasing visibility of Fominaya is also a warning sign about his safety.

The young man is not a new face in the Cuban digital dissent.

In March, he responded to the troubadour Silvio Rodríguez following the incident in which the musician received an AKM rifle at an official event presided over by Díaz-Canel. “No one wants to see their homeland destroyed or bombed. No one. What we want, and what people are asking for, is freedom,” he said.

In April, he reported that State Security intends to fabricate a criminal case against him.

In May, he criticized the campaign "My Signature for the Homeland" of the Communist Party, stating that "signatures do not fill the bucket of water to bathe".
