Gianluca Vacchi and Sharon Fonseca experienced one of those moments this weekend that will forever be etched in their family's history. The couple celebrated the baptism of their new luxury superyacht, an impressive vessel to which they decided to give a very special name: "Genie Blu," in honor of their daughter Blu Jerusalema.
The Italian businessman shared several moments from the ceremony on Instagram, which was filled with emotion and symbolism. Surrounded by family and close friends, Vacchi and Sharon officially welcomed the new vessel with a ceremony that blended maritime tradition with very personal sentiments.
The chosen name was not a coincidence. For the couple, Blu represents the greatest gift of their lives and the fulfillment of many of their dreams. That is why they wanted their daughter to be immortalized in one of the most important projects they have undertaken together.
During the ceremony, Vacchi delivered an emotional speech in Italian in which he reflected on life, dreams, and the paths that each person chooses to follow. Quoting the famous Latin phrase "Navigare è necessario, vivere non lo è" ("To sail is necessary, to live is not"), he explained that for him, the sea symbolizes the future, the boat represents the journey taken, and the heart is the true compass that guides every decision.
One of the most special moments arrived when the traditional christening of the vessel took place. Following nautical custom, a godmother cut the inaugural ribbon while those present celebrated the beginning of this new adventure for the family.
"Today Sharon and I christened this vessel Genie Blu because it represents for us the realization of ourselves and our greatest dream," Vacchi expressed.
The spectacular catamaran was custom-built by the prestigious Turkish shipyard ALIA Yachts and designed by Luca Dini Studio. Measuring nearly 27 meters in length, it combines luxury, design, and high performance, making it one of the most exclusive acquisitions of the Italian entrepreneur.
Beyond the luxury, the event had a pronounced family atmosphere. Since the birth of Blu Jerusalema in 2020, she has become the center of Vacchi and Sharon's universe, who often share with their millions of followers the most important moments of their life together.
The love story between the Italian businessman and the Venezuelan model began in 2017 during the filming of a music video. Since then, they have built a strong relationship and a family that captures the interest of millions of people worldwide.
In sharing the images from the baptism, Vacchi summed up the emotion of the day with simple yet meaningful words: "Yesterday was a special day for our family. Welcome, Genie Blu. May God bless this vessel and everyone who sails in it."
