Antonela Roccuzzo once again proved that she is Lionel Messi's number one fan. After the Argentine captain's double in the 2026 World Cup against Austria, the Rosario native shared an emotional message on Instagram that quickly garnered reactions: “What a privilege to see you make history time and time again”.

Argentina defeated Austria 2-0 this Monday at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, securing their qualification for the Round of 16 as the leader of Group J. Both goals were scored by Messi, who once again proved decisive for the Albiceleste on a night that will be etched in the tournament's history.

With that double, the Argentine star reached 18 goals in World Cups and became the all-time top scorer in the history of the competition, surpassing the record held by German Miroslav Klose.

As has happened at every major international match for the team in recent years, Antonela experienced the game from the stands alongside her three children: Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. The four of them donned the now-famous black Argentina jersey with the number 10, a sort of family talisman that originated during the Qatar 2022 World Cup and which they have kept ever since.

Hours after the match, Antonela shared several images from the stadium and accompanied the post with a declaration of love and admiration for her husband: "What a privilege to see you make history time and time again. I love you."

The post garnered millions of "likes" within a few hours and thousands of comments from followers and family friends, who celebrated another historic night for the Argentine captain.

Among the reactions, Daniella Semaan, wife of Cesc Fàbregas and one of Antonela's closest friends, stood out. "What a privilege it is for all of us to witness history over and over again. God has truly blessed him. Love you all, family," she wrote.

This isn't the first time Antonela has publicly expressed her pride during this World Cup. Days earlier, after Messi's historic hat-trick against Algeria, she had also shared an emotional message: "Always with you. You are incredible."

The tournament has also carried a special emotional weight for the family. In the days leading up to Argentina's debut, Jorge Messi, the footballer's father, faced a health issue that caused concern. Fortunately, he was discharged from the hospital and was able to return to Rosario, bringing relief to his loved ones.

At 39 years old, which he just turned this Wednesday, Messi continues to expand a legend that seemed impossible to surpass. And while Argentina advances in search of a new world title, Antonela continues to support him from the stands, proud to still be a privileged witness to a story that continues to be written.
