The online store Casalinda Shop announced the sale in Cuba of the SK-2101 electric pick-up tricycle, a vehicle designed to combine passenger and light cargo transport, currently available for 3,900 USD, following a reduction from its original price of 4,950 USD.

The model stands out for its cclosed cabin with two doors, capacity for three passengers and an appealing rear cargo box for entrepreneurs, self-employed workers, and families seeking a mobility alternative given the high prices of cars and the limitations of public transport on the Island.

According to the manufacturer's technical information, the tricycle features a 2,000-watt brushless electric motor, powered by a 72-volt, 58 amp-hour battery, capable of providing a range of up to 60 kilometers, depending on factors such as terrain, load carried, and driving conditions.

The declared maximum speed is 41 kilometers per hour, while the maximum load capacity reaches 550 kilograms, a figure that makes it an interesting option for commercial activities and deliveries.

Designed for the urban environment

The SK-2101 features a digital dashboard, front and rear lights, turn signals, horn, USB port, and a multimedia system with a touchscreen, according to the user manual provided by the manufacturer. It also includes forward and reverse gears, as well as three selectable speed levels from the handlebars.

Among its features, the compact truck-style design stands out, with a covered cargo compartment and a cabin protected from rain or sun, something particularly valued in a country where lightweight electric transportation has gained popularity in recent years.

The manufacturer also states that the battery requires between six and eight hours of charging via a standard 110-volt connection.

The supply of electric vehicles is growing

The arrival of this model adds to the increasing presence of motorcycles, tricycles, and other electric vehicles sold by online stores targeting the Cuban market amid the fuel crisis the country is facing.

The vehicle is appealing to small private businesses that need an economical solution to the high costs of fuel and the challenges of acquiring conventional vehicles.

Casalinda Shop promotes the tricycle as an option for immediate delivery in Havana, aimed at both transporting people and moving goods in urban and suburban routes. The offer is also limited, as the store has only 20 units available, so those interested must act quickly to take advantage of the promotional price of 3,900 dollars.
