A Cuban who traveled for the first time on a cruise shared her disappointment on TikTok with the Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas, describing the experience as "a total disaster" marked by overcrowding of passengers in every corner of the ship.
In a video posted on Monday by creator @diviertete_con_made1, the Cuban reported that from the very first day, the experience was far from the relaxing trip she had anticipated.
"My experience on the Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas was, unfortunately, a total disaster,” he wrote in the video description.
The main problem, as he explained, was the number of passengers on board, which far exceeded the ship's capacity to provide a comfortable service.
In the breakfast buffet, it was "practically impossible" to find an available table. The pools were crowded throughout the day, making it nearly futile to try to use them.
The situation worsened during the stop at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, where two cruise ships coincidentally arrived on the same day.
The island was completely overwhelmed: pools were full, bars were impossible to reach, and waits exceeded an hour just to get a drink. "To grab a drink easily, you end up waiting an hour for them to prepare it," recounted the Cuban.
The internet package and the beverage package amounted to nearly one thousand additional dollars to the reservation, an expense that, given the experience lived, the creator deemed poorly justified.
The worst moment came at the end of the journey, during disembarkation. The ship's elevators were overwhelmed, and the congestion in the port parking lots was such that the couple took nearly three hours just to be able to leave.
"I feel that the number of passengers exceeds the capacity to provide comfortable service and a good experience," concluded the creator in the video description.
Her husband, when asked in private about what he thought of the cruise, summed it all up in one word: "trash."
The Cuban woman admitted that they might have chosen the wrong date, but she was emphatic at the end of the video: "It's the second day, we arrived yesterday, and so far I think I won't be coming back."
This is not the first time that a Cuban from the diaspora has reported a bad experience with Royal Caribbean. In May 2026, another Cuban in Miami reported the poor medical service she received on board the Icon of the Seas, another ship from the same cruise line.
In January of that same year, a video of Cubans on the MSC Seaside cruise sparked a wave of criticism on social media, albeit for different reasons.
The Wonder of the Seas, built in France and delivered in January 2022, is one of the largest cruise ships in the world: 362 meters in length, 18 decks, and a capacity of up to 6,988 passengers at maximum capacity, along with a crew of 2,300 people.
The creator stated that, after experiencing all of this, she has no intention of stepping aboard the Wonder of the Seas again.
