The Cuban model Nahomy Sarmiento set social media on fire after posting a video on Instagram recording alongside Velito El Bufón, in which she declared herself "the most recognized model in Cuba," a phrase that sparked a wave of mockery and disbelief in the comments.

The clip, titled "Video Clip Day," begins with an exchange in which Velito asks her if she is "the one who appears in all the Planet videos," to which she responds affirmatively before launching into her introduction: "Hello, I'm Nahomy Sarmiento, I am the most recognized model in Cuba, so join me for a day of videoclip."

The post accumulated nearly 19,000 likes and 362 comments, but the dominant tone in the reactions section was collective skepticism.

The most popular comment, with 993 likes, was an ironic call: "Like here for those of us who didn't know her." Closely following were "I don't know you, and neither do my friends" (596 likes) and "Where? First time I see her" (337 likes).

Other users were more direct: "Be more recognized, a little humility because no one knows you, relax," which garnered 470 likes, summed up the feelings of a good part of the audience.

Comparisons with other models from the Planet Records ecosystem quickly surfaced. "You are beautiful, but I didn't know you. I thought the most recognized model was @azzucar_morena_," wrote a user who received 167 likes. Others mentioned @_la_riri, @_caro_zafiro, and "Daniela Reyes" as more legitimate candidates for the title.

One of the most applauded comments pointed directly to the irony of the situation: “The only person known in that video was Velito.”

The most creative jabs were not lacking. "I asked at the CDR and they don’t know you, I asked at work and they don’t know you, I posted on Facebook to see if anyone recognizes you and nothing," wrote one internet user. Another took a philosophical approach: "Ego up in the sky. When a model is truly exclusive, there’s no need to say it: everyone knows her. If no one knows who you are, you’re not that exclusive."

There were also those who found a strategic reading of the situation: "Nobody knew you, but now they do... mission accomplished."

Nahomy Sarmiento is a young Cuban who works as a exclusive model for Planet Records under the direction of Italian producer Roberto Ferrante. She has appeared in music videos by Bebeshito, Charly, and Johayron.

Some comments suggested a personal relationship with the producer: "You are not the most recognized model in Cuba; you are Ferrante's favorite model," wrote one user, while another added, "Correction, you are Ferra's exclusive model."

Velito El Bufón, whose real name is Dariel Gutiérrez Pérez, is one of the most active Cuban supporting singers at the moment, with over 700,000 followers on Instagram and songs that exceed five million views on YouTube.

A user recalled that this is not the first time a figure from the Cuban entertainment scene has resorted to this type of self-proclamation: "She's using the same trick as when Flor de Cuba claimed to be the most followed influencer in Cuba," he wrote, suggesting that the controversy may be more calculated than spontaneous.
