Jesaaelys Ayala, daughter of Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González, became a mother on July 22 when her first daughter, Eira Del Mar, was born.
The Puerto Rican influencer and businesswoman shared the news on Instagram on Monday with a series of adorable photographs from the hospital, alongside her husband Carlos Olmo and the newborn wrapped in a blanket of white and pink stripes.
“After waiting for you for so long, you are finally here with us. We love you, princess of our hearts. Thank you, God, for this blessing,” wrote Jesaaelys alongside the images, which quickly garnered over 179,000 likes in just a few hours.
Eira Del Mar is a very special baby: she is a "rainbow baby," a term affectionately used for babies born after a previous loss during pregnancy. The couple had lost a pregnancy in September 2025, just weeks before their wedding on October 4 of that same year. The announcement of the new pregnancy came on February 13, 2026, with a video filmed by the sea and the message, "A little bit of you and a little bit of me. A promise from God."
The journey to birth had its scares. At 34 weeks of gestation, Jesaaelys was diagnosed with pregnancy-related cholestasis, a liver condition that can pose risks to the baby. The doctors decided to induce labor at 37 weeks, and although Jesaaelys admitted that she had dreamed of a natural birth at 40 weeks, she accepted it with admirable calm: "I accepted God's will. What we want is for both baby and mom to be healthy."
With this birth, the "King of Reggaeton" becomes a grandfather for the second time. It is known that his son Jeremy is also a father. Additionally, the singer has another daughter named Yamilette, who has always stayed out of the public eye.
Daddy Yankee, who retired from music in December 2023 to focus on his Christian faith, was not present at his daughter's gender reveal and did not make any public statements regarding the pregnancy, amidst the estrangement that has existed between them since he officially divorced Mireddys González in February 2025, after nearly 30 years of marriage.
But beyond any family storm, this week the world celebrates with Jesaaelys: Eira Del Mar arrived at 2:41 PM on July 22, and with her, a new generation of the Ayala family takes its first steps in this world.
