Claudia Artiles woke up early on Friday so that Libertad, the youngest daughter of her partner Ultrack, would not miss out on a special celebration for her fourth birthday, and her gesture garnered an outpouring of praise on social media.
The Cuban influencer shared the moment on TikTok and mentioned that, despite feeling unwell for two days and with her son Marlon at school, she went out to buy balloons and decoration materials to set up a small party at home with a piñata. "I told Ultrack: look, today is Friday, Marlon is at school, I've been feeling unwell for two days, we're not going out, we're going to make a pica-cake because his little friends are arriving soon to sing him happy birthday," she recounted.
Claudia acknowledged that the decoration was simple and improvised, but that there was only one goal: to make the girl feel happy. "I wanted to throw her this birthday party so that she would feel good," she said, before showing Libertad's reaction, which she described as "super happy."
Ultrack, whose real name is Jorge Batista, also celebrated the moment from his Instagram account, where he posted a video singing happy birthday to his daughter with the text “Happy birthday to my baby,” a post that received over 15,000 likes.
At the end of her video, Claudia posed a question to her followers: "Let me know in the comments if you would do the same for your partner's children." The response was overwhelming and nearly unanimous.
The comments turned the post into a small tribute to the role of stepmothers. “With a stepmother like that, any mother would be happy,” wrote one follower. Another, with 83 likes, noted: “With the youth you have, along with your maturity, it’s amazing and so refreshing to find someone like you with such a good heart.” A third summed it up simply: “Everything turned out beautifully, honestly, you are an angel for the girls, that’s called humility and dedication.”
There were some who went beyond just celebrating the birthday and opened a debate about blended families. "If you don't love your partner's children, you don't love them either," declared one user. Another suggested directly: "#stepparentlove. Let's give value to that word so we don't continue carrying false social prejudices."
This is not the first gesture of this kind from Claudia. Last June, she had already surprised Victoria, the oldest daughter of Ultrack, with a custom cake featuring "The K-Pop Warriors" for her seventh birthday. And since she publicly defended her role as a stepmother in November 2025, explaining that she prepares their rooms, buys them clothes, bathes them, and styles their hair, Amanda Sanz —the girls' mother— has publicly supported her role.
The question that Claudia left open in the video continues to gather responses, and most agree: "Claudia is the best stepmother; I wish all children in the world had that luck."
