The Miss Universe Cuba 2026 pageant kicks off tonight in Miami with its preliminary competition, the first step towards the grand final that will determine who will represent Cuba in the international contest. The contestants got acquainted with the stage where they will compete at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center in Cutler Bay, south of Miami, and the organization confirmed that everything is ready.
The preliminary round is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. this Tuesday, while the grand final gala will take place on Thursday, August 20, with the red carpet at 6:00 p.m. and the live pageant at 7:00 p.m. Both nights can be followed via the Miss Universe Cuba YouTube channel and Mega TV.
This edition includes for the first time a preliminary gala in the format of the pageant, aligning with the structure of the international Miss Universe, which raises the level of competition and expectations among the pageant's followers.
The process began in April with more than 100 applicants in Miami and went through several selection phases, including a stage with 22 finalists, before reaching the final group that is now in the home stretch.
The crown will be presented by Lina Luaces, who was crowned Miss Universe Cuba 2025 last year and represented the island in the international competition held in Thailand in November of that year.
