A 51-year-old Cuban woman who had been reported missing in Granada since Saturday, August 15, has been found in a hospital and is doing well, according to confirmation from close acquaintances via social media.

Katia Robaina Rodrigo was the subject of an alert shared on Facebook by a user identified as Ana Augustine, who requested assistance in locating her and stated that a report had already been filed with the police.

"Help to locate Katia Robaina Rodrigo, a 51-year-old Cuban national who has been missing since Saturday, August 15, 2026. A police report has been filed, and there are concerns that the police are not taking sufficient measures," the post stated.

Hours later, however, the news that family and friends were waiting for arrived.

A user identified as Dayron Robaina reported: "They have found her; she is in the hospital."

Another internet user, Mago Randy Almeida, confirmed shortly after that the woman was out of danger: "They found her; she was in the hospital and she's fine. Thank you very much for your concern."

The circumstances under which Robaina arrived at the hospital and the reasons why he remained out of contact with his relatives since Saturday have not been disclosed.

The original post remained available even after it was discovered that it had been located, which prompted comments regarding the risk of an alert that was no longer valid continuing to circulate. "Now that they found her in the hospital, why not delete the post? This only creates misinformation and hysteria," suggested a user.

In the case of Katia Robaina, the social media mobilization concluded with reassuring news: the Cuban was found alive and, according to those who reported her location, she was doing well in a hospital.
