Cuban Jesús Arturo Blanco León, known on social media as "El Guajiro de TikTok" and for his frequent statements in favor of the regime in Havana, is scheduled to appear before a Florida court this Thursday for a driving under the influence (DUI) case.

The hearing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Judge Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center in Sarasota County, and it pertains to a pre-trial conference within case number 2026 CT 3602 NC, reported journalist Mario J. Pentón.

According to an investigation by Pentón itself, based on records from the Police Department and the Sarasota County Court, Blanco León was arrested on April 26th and charged with DUI, classified as a misdemeanor under Florida law.

The arrest and the presentation of charges do not imply a conviction. The content creator maintains the presumption of innocence while the judicial process remains open.

Police confirm that he was driving without headlights and in an unstable manner

The police report cited by Pentón describes a series of irregularities that would have drawn the agent's attention before stopping the vehicle.

According to the document, Blanco León failed to stop at a stop sign, was driving at night without the front or rear lights on, and was weaving from one lane to another without maintaining a steady trajectory.

During the intervention, the agent claimed to have observed that the Cuban had red, watery eyes and emanated a smell of alcohol. The report also notes that he had difficulty providing his driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.

It will be the judicial process that determines Blanco León's responsibility regarding the actions attributed to him by the authorities.

A controversial figure in the Cuban exile networks

The case has garnered attention within the Cuban community due to the public profile of Blanco León, who has been residing in the United States since 2016 and has become a controversial figure on TikTok for his confrontations with opponents and critics of the Cuban regime.

In his broadcasts, he often defends the government of Havana and launches attacks against certain sectors of the exile community, despite having lived in the United States for a decade.

Blanco León has also publicly demonstrated his closeness to Sandro Castro, the grandson of Fidel Castro.

On June 8th, both participated together in a live broadcast on TikTok, where Sandro once again publicly defended the figure of his grandfather.

During the conversation, the grandson of the deceased dictator referred to Fidel Castro as "the tank" and "The Stone," the latter being an allusion to the monolith that covers his grave in the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in Santiago de Cuba.

Sandro also stated that if his grandfather were alive, relations between Cuba and the United States would not have reached the current level of deterioration.
