The Cuban actor and comedian Luis Silva, known for his iconic character Pánfilo, this Thursday with an emotional post on Facebook alongside his wife Yary Martínez.

"Twenty-four years ago, on a day like today, we celebrated the wedding that gave rise to this family," the actor wrote on his profile, accompanying the message with several photographs showcasing the couple in various destinations over the years.

The images show Silva and Martínez on a seaside promenade facing the sea, in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, next to the Alcázar of Segovia in Spain, and at a water park, a gallery that reflects the shared travels over more than two decades of life together.

The couple married on August 19, 2002, in El Cotorro, Havana, and they have two children: Luis Daniel Silva Jr. and Pilar Silva.

This is not the first time the actor has turned his anniversary into a public moment: in August 2022, he celebrated two decades of marriage with a similar post, and in August 2024, he commemorated 22 years with family photos on Instagram.

The context of this celebration carries special significance: Silva left Cuba in late December 2024 and has since resided in Miami with his family.

His departure came in the midst of the de facto suspension of Vivir del Cuento, the Cubavisión program he starred in from 2008 until September 2024, which made the character of Pánfilo a benchmark of Cuban popular humor.

The authorities of the state television never officially confirmed the cancellation of the program; they only referred to it as a "pause," without providing further explanations.

Since his arrival in Florida, Silva has maintained an active presence on social media and has left open the possibility of resuming the program from abroad, although he has not announced any concrete plans.

The anniversary photographs, taken in international destinations, are also a visual testament to the new chapter that the actor and his family are building outside the island.

In September 2025, Silva responded about the future of Vivir del Cuento and did not rule out a version of the program from Miami, a possibility that his followers are eagerly anticipating.
