High fashion dress, a luxury kitchen, and several open pizza boxes: this is how Daniela Reyes responded to the most talked-about night of the competition. After Mia Dio claimed the crown of Miss Universe Cuba 2026, the Cuban model and influencer shared a series of photos on Instagram that said it all without the need for lengthy words: "I think I deserve it...".
Daniela's post on Instagram features the candidate from Pinar del Río—one of the top favorites of the competition according to interaction metrics leading up to the final—posing in her spectacular mermaid dress adorned with crystals and embellishments in champagne tones, while holding a slice of pizza with the same elegance she displayed on the runway. Behind her, opened boxes and some soda bottles complete the picture.
The contrast between the glamour of the outfit and the casual nature of the scene was enough for the post to accumulate over 26,900 likes and 1,265 comments within a few hours.
The audience's reaction was swift. Among the first to comment was El Divo de Placetas, who wrote to him: "You looked regal."
But it was the followers who put into words what many felt. "The true queen," wrote a user in the comment with the most reactions. Another confessed candidly: "Oh Dani, I have suffered so much for you!!! That was so yours." There were also those who were even more direct: "That crown deserved to go to Daniela more than anyone else; she has it all. It's not just about the runway, but well, time will show who remains the queen."
There was also room for love and encouragement. "Dani, thank you for going to Miss Universe, as your fans requested. You worked so much in silence; even though you didn't win today, this is another step in life," wrote another supporter. Daniela, one of the great public favorites since she confirmed her candidacy in May, reached the final. The crown, however, went to the representative of the Isle of Youth, in a decision that surprised a large part of the audience.
What didn’t surprise us was Daniela's attitude: without complaints, without drama, wearing a dreamy dress and enjoying a well-deserved pizza. Sometimes, class is illustrated just like that.
