Jonathan Pellegrin Fonseca, a young Cuban with a disability who amazed thousands on social media with his musical talent, now has his own drum set. Content creator Freddy King Flow announced the gift on Instagram, the result of a community fundraising effort that collected money to buy the young man his own instruments.
"Thanks to each one of you who contributed your bit and trusted us, today Jonathan already has his own instruments to continue creating magic," wrote Freddy King Flow while sharing the news with his community.
The publication shows the boy debuting a metallic blue acoustic drum kit from the brand AODSK, on the porch of his house in Cuba. Sitting on a stool, with drumsticks in hand, he plays the instrument with the focus that made him famous.
"The music of Jonathan has just begun to play," concluded Freddy King Flow in his post, which garnered over 36,400 reactions within a few hours.
It all began just a few days earlier when Freddy King Flow posted a video of Jonathan that went viral for his musical talent: the young man played the guitar, percussion, and sang simultaneously, with a precision that left thousands of users on Instagram and TikTok speechless.
What made the performance even more extraordinary was that Jonathan has physical limitations: one of his hands is missing fingers and he has visual impairment.
A comment that circulated widely on social media described it perfectly: "He's playing the guitar to the rhythm and notes of the song with one hand, playing percussion with his other hand that has no fingers, and with that, using his feet—each element has a different rhythm at every joint, and he's singing at the same time, all with such perfection, never losing the rhythm, melody, or timing—something that any average musician couldn't do. He truly is a genius."
After going viral, Freddy King Flow rallied his community to turn admiration into tangible support. The AODSK drum set that Jonathan received is an acoustic kit for beginners, which retails internationally for around $180, an amount that is practically unattainable for most Cuban families amid the economic crisis the country is facing.
In recent years, young Cuban musicians with astonishing talents have gained visibility, from children singing on the street to pianists improvising in unexpected places. However, the combination of technical multi-instrumental skill and the ease with which Jonathan performs makes him truly exceptional.
Some, like Jonathan, receive the support of a digital community ready to assist them materially, turning virality into something more than likes.
This is not the first act of solidarity from Freddy King Flow. In November 2025, the content creator traveled to Guantánamo to deliver donationsto affected families from Hurricane Melissa, venturing into hard-to-reach areas to bring basic food supplies to those in greatest need.
