A Cuban woman in the United States sparked debate on social media again after announcing the purchase of a second house in Holguín, following numerous criticisms for having previously invested in another property in Cuba.
Far from remaining silent in the face of criticism, the user Isa (@leyanetcalixto on TikTok) decided to respond in the only way she could think of: announcing that she purchased a second home in Holguín.
"We have received a lot of criticism since I posted that I bought my first house in Cuba, and here I want to show you that I have been buying the second," says the creator at the beginning of the clip, which lasts just 17 seconds.
The property, located on the upper floor of the same building that was purchased earlier, is currently undergoing renovations.
In the comments, Isa clarified the distribution: "One is below and the other is above."
The Cuban woman, who has been living in the United States for four years, had already created a stir in July when she showcased her first dilapidated home in Holguín, a video that garnered 75,000 views and over 2,600 likes.
In the new clip, he hinted that he will soon show the interior and that they are finishing up "pouring the missing slab."
Reactions to the second video were varied: "Wow, what an incredible house," wrote one user, while another humorously pointed out that "they're building a condominium."
But negative comments were also present. One user wrote: "What a mansion, if they give it to me I wouldn't take it." Isa replied without losing her smile: "Don't worry, I'm not going to give it away."
A supporter came to his defense: "I am amazed by the negative comments from men; it's not easy, that's just jealousy."
Isa's case falls within a growing trend on TikTok: emigrated Cubans purchasing dilapidated properties on the island and documenting each stage of the renovation for thousands of followers.
Isa closed the video with a direct invitation to those who want to follow the process: "Follow me if you want to see this process."
