The Cuban actress Judith González, known for her popular character Magdalena La Pelúa, shared a video on her TikTok account in which she delivered a direct message to separated mothers who are in conflict with the new partner of their children's father, even when they themselves have moved on with their romantic lives.
In the video, González invites us to reflect on the resentments that may arise after a separation, especially when the father's new partner maintains a good relationship with the children and participates in their care.
"You don't get along with the mother of your children's father, you don't get along with him, he remarried, he has a new relationship, you have a relationship, but you don't get along with her. She is a good person; she cares for your children," the actress states.
Far from blaming the new partner, the comedian encourages mothers going through this situation to ask themselves where their discomfort truly comes from: "The problem lies with you; something is happening within you. Sit down calmly and say: What is happening to me? What is the anger?"
One of the most striking moments comes when González poses a question that might feel uncomfortable for some women: “The resentment you have, do you still like the father of your children? Such things can happen.”
The actress also points out that these attitudes can create discomfort even in the mother's current romantic relationship: "Your husband notices and says: Come here, what's your issue that you don't get along with that woman? That woman hasn't done anything to you."
For González, the key factor is that children can enjoy a peaceful life in both homes without being caught up in the adults' conflicts. In this regard, he cites new partners as an example, as they care about the children, attend to their needs, and even prepare their own space for them in the house.
"The children live happily; they take care of them and even made a room for them at home, and you continue to overlook that woman," she comments.
The interpreter of Magdalena La Pelúa concludes her reflection with an invitation to let go of negative feelings and think of the little ones: "Sit down, take stock, and do it for yourself, and then, please, for your children."
The message was also reflected in the description of the post: "Try to heal for your own good, first and foremost, and for the sake of your children."
The video has sparked interest on TikTok, where, according to initial figures, it exceeded 61,500 views, accumulated nearly 3,900 likes, and garnered over 300 comments.
Judith González, born in Ciego de Ávila and residing in Miami since the mid-90s, has shared her experiences related to her personal and family life on various occasions. The actress, mother of two, has publicly discussed her divorces and the lessons her relationships have taught her.
