A Cuban resident in Miami shared on TikTok everything her group consumed at Mesón del Príncipe, a restaurant in Camagüey, where, as she recounted, they paid a bill of 90 dollars for a plentiful meal that included beers, cocktails, meats, ceviches, and desserts. Expensive or cheap?

In the video shared on TikTok by @mily_pastel, the Cuban showcased the dishes and beverages they ordered during their visit to the establishment.

"We got carried away and had 10 beers, two piña coladas, two micheladas, and two caipirinhas," he recounted while showing part of what they had consumed.

As for the food, the protagonist listed four fish croquettes, five ceviches, seven porterhouse steaks, four salads, one Uruguayan steak, ropa vieja, and French fries.

"We ordered a Uruguayan steak that was incredibly tasty, the cheese well melted, a delicious ropa vieja, and I laughed a lot here because Javita, my love, is always around," she commented with laughter.

The group also enjoyed natural lemonades, soft drinks, and various desserts, including a flan that the Cuban described as "super creamy" and a chocolate cake that she rated as "next level."

The restaurant, located at 7 Astilleros Street in Camagüey, features on Tripadvisor with a price rating of $$–$$$.

What stands out the most is the total price that, according to the protagonist of the video, they paid for all the food and drinks: 90 dollars.

To put the figure in perspective, using the informal exchange rate of 818 Cuban pesos (CUP) per dollar recorded at the close on October 20, according to the exchange rate published by CiberCuba, the amount would be approximately 73,620 CUP.

During the morning of that same day, the dollar had reached 817 CUP, on a day characterized by the increase in currency prices in the Cuban informal market.

The amount contrasts with the earnings of workers who are paid in the national currency. According to the , the minimum wage in Cuba is set at 3,210 CUP per month, effective from July 2026.

This means that the 90 dollars on the bill would be equivalent to almost 23 minimum monthly salaries in Cuba, a significant difference for those who rely solely on income in Cuban pesos.

The prices of Cuban restaurants have already been featured in other social media videos. In October 2025, a Cuban couple shared what they paid for dinner at one of the most expensive restaurants in El Vedado, with a bill of 89 dollars.

Also, in March 2026, another video showed how much it cost to eat at one of the most affordable restaurants in Havana, where a meal for two people was around 26 dollars.

And what do you think about paying 90 dollars for all this food and drink at a restaurant in Cuba? Expensive or cheap?
