
Eduardo López-Collazo, Cuban scientist born in Matanzas, July 3, 1969. Graduated in Nuclear Physics from Universidad de la Habana, and holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is the only foreigner to lead a research center in Spain. Currently, he supervises 1,700 professionals at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria del Hospital Universitario La Paz (IdiPaz) in Madrid. Author of "Coronavirus, the Last Pandemic? (2020)" and "What is Cancer? (2019)," he has been included for years in the list of the most influential gay personalities in Spain, according to the ranking by the newspaper El Mundo.
