Jwan Yosef is a Syrian painter born in Syria on September 1, 1984. His family emigrated to Sweden, where he studied painting, and in 2009 he graduated with a degree in fine arts from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.
Yosef established his residence in London, where he continued his artistic career and met Ricky Martin after having been in contact for six months through Instagram with the Puerto Rican, who fortuitously came across his profile and showed interest in his artworks.
Ricky traveled to London to meet Yosef, and in 2016, he decided to appear alongside him on the red carpet of the amfAR organization in Brazil, officially making their relationship public. In 2017, it was revealed that they had gotten married, and in December 2018, they announced the arrival of their first daughter together, Lucía. In October 2019, the couple welcomed Renn Martin-Yosef, their second child together and Martin's fourth, as he already had twins Valentino and Matteo, born in 2008.
