"This is going to be a long night; it will be all Giros until the ninth song, after that, may God help us," promised Fito Páez as he kicked off the concert in Havana this Monday, closing his tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of the album "Giros." He did not disappoint the nearly five thousand spectators who packed the Karl Marx for over two hours.

The Rosario native shared with the audience that in 1986 he experienced a "brutal moment" when Pablo Milanés invited him to the Varadero Festival and to travel across Cuba. "That journey saved my life. Here, I received a loving hug, which to this day is one of my pillars for living." After expressing this gratitude, Pablo joined him to sing "Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazón" and dedicated "Al lado del camino" to him.

He also remembered "his brother" Santiago Feliú and was joined on stage at the capital's theater by Carlos Varela in “Parte del Aire,” José Luis Cortés "el Tosco" in “Un vestido y un amor,” and alongside Diana Fuentes he sang “El amor después del amor.”

"Thank you for letting me live in your hearts; there I will always live," shouted Fito Páez to his captivated audience in Cuba.
