Cuban singer Camila Cabello performed her great hitHavana at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards held this Sunday in Inglewood, California.
The young woman chose a performance in the purest style of Marilyn Monroe in “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” paying tribute to the iconic actress.
Camila wore a sleeveless pink dress by designer Walter Mendez with matching gloves, jewelry and thigh-high boots, alluding to the "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" musical scene, and her dress, like Marilyn's, wore a big pink bow on the back. The dancers who accompanied her also wore 1950s costumes.
The singer was nominated for Best New Pop Artist and received the Fangirls Award presented by L’Oréal Paris and iHeartRadio which recognizes a female artist who has pushed the boundaries with her music and message while inspiring her fans around the world.
Other performances included Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, and Charlie Puth.
The Havana songIt has been a global success and has been on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 29 weeks.
