Madrid, Feb 7 (EFE).- Alejandro Sanz premiered this morning Back in the city, second single from his imminent new album, #ElDisco, and a song that will unite the Madrid native for the first time with a reggaeton artist, Nicky Jam, as confirmed by Universal Music.
Fusion of pop, urban, flamenco and salsa sounds, with a sample of Just in case I return, by Celia Cruz, the song has been conceived as a proclamation against walls and borders, in tribute to all the people who one day had to leave the land where they were born and who wish to return.
Recorded at Art House Studios and Mow Studios in Miami, Back in the city It was produced by Alejandro Sanz himself in collaboration with Julio Reyes Copello, with whom he already collaborated on his album The music is not played (2012), and with Alfonso Pérez, a regular musician on the artist's tours for more than 20 years.
It is the second single extracted from #ElDisco after I don't have anything, released last November, coinciding with the announcement of a tour of four major Spanish stadiums, including the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on June 15, for which there are no tickets left.
Sanz, who has just announced the renewal of his record contract with Universal Music, plans to publish the twelfth studio album of his career "in mid-2019," according to the musician, winner of 20 Latin Grammys and 3 Grammy Awards, told Efe.
