A report made by Cuban television shows the discontent of the population over the drug shortage, as well as for its resale on the black market.

Several shop assistants at a pharmacy in the municipality of Centro Habana assure that there is an improvement in the assortments, mainly in controlled medications.

But the population interviewed on the street does not appreciate these changes. An elderly woman, questioned about the real availability of the drugs, responds to the journalist: “I found one, I'm missing two.”

Another woman shows prescriptions for Dipyrone and complains about not finding the medicine in any pharmacy. He also emphasizes that regarding anti-inflammatories, "there are none."

The report shows another aspect of the problem: that of the illicit trade in medicines. “This sale on the street is making waves, you must have seen it,” says an old man.

A woman also tells how since last July she has not been able to purchase a pill she needs and has ended up buying it on the black market at very high prices. The journalist, who does not hold the Government responsible, appeals to the sensitivity of the workers of these establishments.
