According to the publication, the vehicle would be connected to a small and medium-sized enterprise with a contract with the state company Transmarco, located in Los Pinos, in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality of Havana

One of the commentators on the post, apparently a witness to the events, explained that "the driver did everything he could, used his extinguisher, and a Yutong bus driver gave him two, but he still couldn't put it out."

The causes of the fire have not yet been specified by the authorities.

In recent hours, several trucks have been involved in traffic accidents in Cuba, highlighting the poor conditions of the Cuban road network and the vehicle fleet, as well as the impact of heavy cargo overturns on traffic.

One of these vehicles overturned near the Cupet at 24 and Dolores, in the municipality of 10 de Octubre, in Havana.

In the comments, some speculated that the cause of the accident could be attributed to the "sharp turn with a container, and perhaps the load was unbalanced and caused it to tip over."

This Saturday, the driver of a large truck died after overturning in Loma de Rejondones, in Báguanos, Holguín. According to several comments, the victim, Jorgito, was from Cárdenas, Matanzas, and worked as a driver at Almacenes Universales S.A. in Varadero.

Also on Saturday, a tractor-trailer overturned at kilometer 126 of the national highway, resulting only in material damage, without injuries to the driver, according to local sources.

The accident occurred after the heavy vehicle became unstable and overturned sideways. Witnesses and photos shared on social media show the trailer tipped over at the side of the road.

Although dozens of internet users have pointed out that the driver fell asleep, there are no official testimonies regarding the incident.

The recurring overturns of trucks on the National Highway, associated with mechanical failures, speeding, driver fatigue, and the poor road infrastructure, are classified as a "structural problem" that requires urgent attention.
