Meat with potatoes

Ingredients:
  • 1 kilogram of beef
  • ½ cup oil or butter
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 green pepper, not spicy
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup white wine, dry
  • 1 cup of water or beef broth
  • 1 kilogram of potatoes
  • 5 tablespoons of raisins
  • 4 tablespoons pitted small olives
  • 5 tablespoons capers (optional)
Instructions:
Cut the meat into pieces of approximately 5 or 6 centimeters and brown it in the hot fat. Add the salt, paprika, pepper and chopped onion. Stir well and add the crushed garlic cloves and let it cook for 2 or 3 minutes with these seasonings. Cover it with water and let it cook over high heat for 15 minutes to soften it a little. Remove the meat and preserve the remaining broth. In a large saucepan, sauté the cut pepper, a little more onion and add the tomato sauce. Let this sauce cook for about 3 minutes and add the medium-soft meat. Stir well and add the peeled and cut potatoes. Cover everything with the wine and broth. Add the raisins, olives and capers. Cover and let it cook over medium heat for 15 minutes or until the potatoes and meat are to your liking.
