Ingredients:
- 6 oranges
- Orange pulp made with the peels
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 packets of custard or 6 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 4 cups of whole milk (or as indicated on the package)
- sugar to make a caramel for decoration
Instructions:
Cut the oranges in half, remove the pulp, and keep the shells to fill them later with the custard. Clean the orange peels, cut them into small pieces, and set them aside to mix into the custard later.
Dissolve the custard (or cornstarch) in two cups of milk and bring it to a boil over medium heat, stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming. Once it starts to boil, add the remaining milk and the cup of sugar. Cook over medium heat until it thickens.
Remove the custard from heat, add the chopped peels, and mix well.
Fill the orange halves with the custard and top them with a bit of caramel. Enjoy!
