Note:
A fruit cocktail is an ideal recipe to make with the little ones at home. It is easy to prepare, provides vitamins to the body, and also educates children about healthy eating habits.
This is not a novel recipe, and we know that every chef has their own way of making it, but we can't help but share it, especially since it is a very refreshing dish often found in Cuban cuisine.
The consumption of fruits in Cuba has become one of the biggest challenges in terms of nutrition, as prices are reaching prohibitive levels. Despite this, there are seasons when a variety of high-quality products can be found.
Ingredients:
- 1 large mango
- ½ papaya
- 2 ripe plantains
- ½ cup of orange juice
- Sugar to taste
Instructions:
Wash and peel the fruits. Cut them into cubes and mix them in a deep bowl. Add the orange juice, stir, and adjust the sugar to your taste.
For this cocktail, some people prefer to use syrup, but if you want it to be less sweet and more natural, we always recommend orange juice or another citrus juice.
You can add any fruits you like; for example, in this case, we've included pear and kiwi.
In any case, it will be exquisite.
