Delicious traditional Cuban sweet. A delicious and easy recipe to make.
Ingredients:
- 3 dried coconuts
- ½ cup raw sugar
- ¾ cup honey
- ¼ cup of water
Instructions:
Grate the coconut very finely, leaving the dark husk that covers it.
In a thick-bottomed cauldron, place the coconut, sugar, water and honey.
Put it over low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden paddle until part of the sugar dissolves and loses the moisture of the preparation.
Let it cook until it reaches a pasty consistency and let it cool for a few minutes. Then with a spoon separate portions and place them on a tray or on paper. If you wish, give it an elongated shape with a wooden splint.
