Delicious traditional Cuban sweet. A rich and easy recipe to make.
Ingredients:
- 3 dry coconuts
- ½ cup of raw sugar
- ¾ cup of bee honey
- ¼ cup of water
Instructions:
Grate the coconut finely, leaving the dark shell that covers it. In a heavy-bottomed pot, combine the coconut, sugar, water, and honey. Place it on low heat and stir constantly with a wooden spatula until some of the sugar dissolves and the mixture loses moisture. Allow it to cook until it reaches a pasty consistency, then let it cool for a few minutes. Next, use a spoon to scoop out portions and place them on a tray or paper. If desired, shape them into elongated forms using a wooden board.
