- 150 g of wheat flour
- 75 g of butter
- 1 egg
- A pinch of salt
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 120 grams of shredded coconut
For the filling (this is optional)
In a bowl, add the sifted flour and the butter. Mix with your fingers until you achieve a crumbly texture. Then, add the egg and salt, and continue working the dough with your fingers until you can form it into a ball. Cover it and let it rest for one hour in a cool place.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it out to a thickness of about 0.3 cm. Then, cut out the shape according to the mold you will be using. Before baking, brush the bottom of the mold with butter and prick the dough with a fork to prevent it from puffing up. Some people sprinkle flour to prevent the dough from sticking.
Bake at a temperature of 200ºC for 15 minutes. However, the exact time may vary depending on the specific characteristics of each oven and the amount of dough being prepared. To determine if they are ready, simply check for a golden-brown color and ensure they have been heated evenly. They should be golden and crisp.
You can use it with sweet and savory fillings. To make coconut-filled ones, mix a can of condensed milk with 120 grams of shredded coconut in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until you can see the bottom of the pan when you move the spatula.
Using a spoon, serve the coconut sweet with condensed milk in the tartlets. Take advantage of the time while it is warm, as it tends to get firmer when cooled. Allow this delicious dessert to cool and enjoy it with family and friends.
If you want to fill it with guava, simply use jam and refrigerate. Some people top them with meringue. Another filling that is also used is pastry cream.
I hope you enjoy this recipe. Bon appétit!
