Note:
Turkey is not a favorite among Cubans, but this dish can also be made with chicken. Although turkey is not very popular on the Island, its consumption has many benefits. It is a low-calorie food that contains all the essential amino acids our bodies need. It has a high concentration of B vitamins and contains minerals such as magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, and selenium. It is tender, lean meat that is very easy to cook. You can create a variety of amazing recipes, and its price is relatively affordable. We hope you enjoy this recipe, and if you make it at home, please share photos with us on our social media.
Ingredients:
- 4 turkey breast fillets
- 1 lemon
- Salt, cumin, and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of butter or sunflower oil
- Roasted red peppers
Instructions:
Season the turkey breasts with salt and pepper, then add cumin and lemon. These ingredients will give the meat a distinctly Cuban flavor. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
In a frying pan, heat the oil. Add the turkey that you had marinated with lemon juice. Let it brown on both sides. Once it reaches your desired level of doneness, remove it from the heat and serve it on a plate.
Slice the roasted peppers into thin strips and serve the meat with this delicious side dish and white rice. You can also pair it with mushrooms and cream, although that is a less traditional Cuban version.
Enjoy your meal!
