- 1 chicken breast
- ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon of cumin
- ¼ teaspoon of oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup of wheat flour
- 1 egg
- ½ cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 cup of frying oil
Cut the chicken breast into strips. Try to make them of similar thickness and size. Season with salt and pepper and add the rest of the spices, making sure there is a balance. Mix well and let it rest for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
In a bag, place the wheat flour and add the chicken strips. Shake it so the flour sticks to the pieces of meat.
Remove the excess flour and dip the floured chicken strips in the beaten egg. Then, repeat the process in the bag, but this time with breadcrumbs.
Save the breaded chicken strips and discard the leftover flour and breadcrumbs.
In a pot, heat the oil over high heat. Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown. Drain it on paper towels and serve hot.
This dish is ideal for pairing with a cold beer. It is usually served with spicy sauces, mayonnaise, ketchup, or mustard. It is also common to accompany it with French fries or crispy snacks.
I hope you enjoy it. Bon appétit!!
