Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of shortening
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 7 ¾ cups of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Mix the shortening with the sugar until a paste forms. Add the beaten eggs with the vanilla, stirring until everything is combined. Gradually add the sifted flour along with the salt and baking powder. Knead until all ingredients are incorporated. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin between two sheets of thick or wax paper until it reaches a thickness of 0.5 cm. Cut it with a round cutter that has a diameter of 5 cm. Then place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
