Tomato Sauce is one of the most used preparations at the base of Cuban food. Check out Chef Iván's recipe that is inspired by the famous Vita Nuova Sauce. We recommend it because it is ideal for taking advantage of ripe tomatoes. In addition, it is simple, easy to prepare and with a delicious Cuban flavor. I hope you enjoy it. Ingredients:
  • 1 can of 500 ml of peeled tomatoes
  • 1 can of 200 ml of tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons of refined sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 square of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons complete seasoning with dried parsley
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:

To make the sauce, place all the ingredients in the blender. Beat for approximately 3 minutes until all the elements are completely integrated. When ready, pass the mixture through a fine sieve.

Put the strained mixture in a saucepan, cover it and leave over medium heat until it begins to boil. Let it simmer for 3 more minutes. Stir so it doesn't stick to the bottom.

Reserve this sauce and use it in those Cuban food preparations of your choice.
