PREMIERE: The video clip "Havana" by Camila Cabello arrives, an audiovisual work that remembers Cuba

The long-awaited video clip of “Havana” -theme of the Cuban singer Camila Cabello and the American rapper, performer and songwriter Young Thung-, one of the songs that has become a worldwide success in recent months.

Such as we were advancing, the proposal that the artist brings us bears the distinctive seal of her hometown, Havana, which explains why the story of the clip unfolds around that environment. vintage and cabaret that so characterized the Cuban capital in the 50s and that in some way is still valid in Cuba.

Your director, Dave Meyers, uses as a common thread a kind of “film within the film itself” format, making the young woman see herself reflected, within her own plot, in another fictional film character.

In the clip we can see, in addition to the incorporation of dancers, the participation of several actors who are also part of the plot, such as the Venezuelan Lele Pons and the Americans James allowed and Noah Centineo.

As a culmination of this work, we find a detail that Camila she wanted to add to her work and that has something to do with her status as a "Cuban migrant."

An unexpected and powerful phrase in white letters and a black background closes the video: “This is dedicated to the dreamers” / “This is dedicated to the dreamers, a strong message and a wink towards politics applied a few months ago by Trump, where he abolished the program that protected immigrant children from deportation.
