The popular Cuban reggaeton player Osmani García sent a message of support to the boxer Guillermo Rigondeaux and asked to reduce the criticism against the boxer.
"Any champion has a bad day, we all wanted to see you fight better. From Cuban to Cuban I tell you that you will know what your family is going through," said the artist during a live broadcast on Facebook.
"It is sad to see so many Cubans disrespect Rigondeaux. At least once in your life you fail," he added.
In this sense, he recalled the career of the Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko and recalled the joys and successes that the Cuban boxer has given.
"I didn't feel disappointed, I felt sad. You are a great champion and you have given us a lot of joy. I will always support you," the interpreter confessed in the video broadcast from the Atlanta airport.
Rigondeaux was defeated on Saturday night by technical knockout after six rounds and a surprising abandonment.
"I lost and there are no excuses. I injured the upper part of my left hand in the second round. I will be back because it is what I know how to do and the weight was never a factor in my defeat, it was simply the hand injury," assured the fighter from the Island after the fight.
