The number 1 prospect of the Baltimore Orioles organization, Cuban Yusniel Díaz, was invited to spring training with the big team, as reported this Friday afternoon.

The man from the capital, who signed for 15.5 million with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016, was the sensation in the 2018 Future Star Game with two home runs and then traded to Baltimore in a four-player move for Manny Machado.

Díaz is the most intriguing player in the entire organization, which is in rebuilding mode and is coming off a season of over 110 losses.

The West Indian is one of the hopes for the immediate future in Baltimore. Personally, I think he will be in Triple-A for a while, but let no one discount a hot spring for Díaz and a Major League debut on Opening Day.
