- 2 cassavas
- frying oil
- salt
- sugar
Wash the cassavas, cut them into medium pieces, peel them, and put them to boil in salted water until they soften.
Drain the soft yucas, remove the hard stem from the center, and cut them into pieces of similar thickness.
In a pot, heat the oil. When it's hot, add the yucas and let them fry until they achieve a golden color. Do it in batches to prevent them from sticking together and getting damaged.
Place them on absorbent paper to lose the excess fat. And continue frying the rest.
For the presentation, it can serve you in two ways and there are two different dishes.
If you sprinkle them with sugar, you will have a sweet garnish. On the other hand, if you do it with salt, you can also add a mojo or a light vinaigrette, and you will have a completely different dish in terms of flavor. Some people also accompany it with more elaborate sauces, but we leave that to your choice. Enjoy your meal!!
