Note:
El Fanguito is a sweet treat that drives most Cubans crazy. It's made from condensed milk and is enjoyed with sweet or salty cookies, bread, ice cream, or cake… you can even eat it with your fingers. In other countries, it’s known as "Dulce de Leche." It's very easy to make. Here’s a simple recipe that requires no special skills—just a little bit of time.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 2 liters of water
Instructions:

To make the Fanguito, first wash the can of condensed milk and remove the label if it has a paper one.

Place the unopened can of milk in the pressure cooker and cover it with water. Seal the cooker and heat it on high until it reaches pressure.

Lower the heat to medium and let it cook under pressure for 30 minutes. After this time, remove the pot from the heat.

This recipe can be made using a water bath in a conventional saucepan, but you should let it cook for about an hour.

Once the pot has released its pressure, take out the can of milk. It will be hot, as you can imagine. I suggest placing it in cool water and waiting for it to cool down.
