The Cuban comedian Boncó Quiñongo and his family are going through a difficult time with the second loss of a loved one this month, due to complications associated with coronavirus.
The artist shared the sad news of the death of his aunt, his mother's sister, this Friday in Sweden, where he lived.
"It has been a very sad week in July that I personally will never be able to forget. This 2020 has become a very hard year in which I have always wanted to convey hope and a spirit of improvement, but the coronavirus has hit me family and double, because to the sad departure of my uncle Luis Álvarez last Monday was added the loss of my aunt Ángela Álvarez yesterday in Sweden," he wrote on Facebook.
"Another more than loved family member. My favorite aunt, the matriarch of the Álvarez family, very loved by everyone and respected because Maita was a goddess, a queen of peace, of conciliation, who by doing so many good deeds became someone impossible to disrespect" , he said.
"I love you, my second mother, that's what I've always told you. Rest in peace Maita, whoever knew you loved you. Rest in peace, there close to God. Since I was a child I loved you Maita," Boncó concluded his emotional post.
On Tuesday, The comedian mourned the death of his uncle in Miami, also very close to him and whom he described as "a man who always smiled and made everyone laugh, who always danced and infected anyone who looked at him with his character."
The artist has received diverse displays of support and affection from his followers for these two sad and very close losses.
In recent days, several public figures from the Cuban community in the United States have tested positive for the coronavirus, such as actress Aly Sánchez and his family and Major League Baseball player Aroldis Chapman. The presenter Carlos Otero was also concerned about the health of one of his children, because although the test results had not yet arrived, he presents all the symptoms of COVID-19.
