Led by the Mesa brothers, a total of seven Cuban players were summoned by the Miami Marlins for their Minor League training camp facing the imminent baseball season.

The gardeners Victor Jr. and Víctor Víctor Mesa arrive at the preparation with all their dreams to fulfill, although in the case of the oldest, what has been demonstrated so far is not enough to monopolize the optimism that the Junior does harbor, which reached Class A last season.

In addition to these two, the Marlins will have their eye on the performances of Havana shortstop Yiddi Cappe – whom some dare to compare with Carlos Correa -, hitters Lázaro Alonso (1B) and Luis Avilés Jr. (SS) and the pitchers Sandro Bargallo and Luis González.

On these days It was also known that the Marlins invited catcher and first baseman from Pinar del Río to their Spring Training session Lorenzo Quintana, who will try to make room on a roster that has not had Cubans since May 31, 2018, when Odrisamer Despaigne pitched against the Padres.
