Hecuban peasant Fredy Antonio Sánchez Rodríguez was fined 20,000 pesos for not reconciling his production with the livestock registry when he should have done so.

The complaint was made this Thursday by his wife, Anisleidy Rivero, through her Facebook profile where she said she was outraged by what she considers an injustice.

“I don't usually publish much, but this is already too much, outrageous, I don't know how many other things. Afterwards they don't want you to talk or get upset. My husband's salary is 3,097 pesos, today they fined him 20,000 pesos for not going to the livestock registry to reconcile on time, for not having transportation."said the young woman.

In her post, she attached a photo of the penalty dated October 27 of this year worth 20,000 in her husband's name. The figure represents more than six times the farmer's salary.

Rivero explained that the livestock company had to guarantee fuel to transport her husband from his farm, but they declared that there was no availability and wanted the farmer to guarantee it from his salary.

“He had to go with money from his pocket, and he refused to go unless they took him from work. And for this they applied this fine, to be paid in 30 days. If he only charges 3,097, what can he eat and live with? “This is another way of crushing those who really work hard to support the family.”, added the woman.

Rivero insisted that what happened was a lack of respect and alluded to the reprisals of the authorities against those who denounce injustices.

“Hopefully someone who has something to do with this will tell you this and they will answer me to see if it is not a lack of respect. Then you start talking and they catch you, as we Cubans say. “This is f......gentlemen”, he sentenced.

In July, ranchers from Las Tunas criticized the lack of attention from the authorities, as well as the debts of the Dairy Industry and Commerce with milk producers.

Among the complaints are the lack of attention to man, working without resources and the inconsistencies of the 63 measures approved by the government with the objective of promoting food production.
