Two Cubans who were quietly enjoying the Guardalavaca beach, in Holguín, were expelled by the police.
The embarrassing event was captured by a young woman who identifies herself on social media as The Girl from Saturn, who shared on her Twitter account the photo in which three officers are seen talking to two older men, dressed in swimsuits and caps, At the sea's shore.
"It turns out that now you can't just lie on the sand sleeping because there are foreigners on the beach and they can't see the ribs that show how hungry you are. Since we got here they haven't bothered anyone, but anyway they've already taken them out." , described The Girl from Saturn.
An Internet user commented that the event surely occurred in the "VIP" part of the beach, where foreign visitors who stay in the Holguin tourist center usually go.
But The Girl... denied it, and stated that it was on the "normal" beach, with nothing to do with the other area.
"Oh, Cuba, every day there are more of those who pay to see you, of those who charge that money and much less of those who were born in your lands," he lamented.
Publications of this type frequently appear on social networks, denouncing the discrimination that Cubans suffer in their own country, where degrading policies are maintained that humiliate national citizens in front of foreigners.
Last February, a young Cuban recounted the discrimination he suffered at the Pernik Hotel, in Holguín, when he wanted to enter to sit at a table that was near an outlet to work on his laptop.
Kmilo Noa described that when he asked for a quiet place to work and consume, he was interrogated with questions such as "Who are you?", "What do you mean by work?" and "What are you going to work on?", after which he had to stay in the lobby waiting to be authorized.
"They asked me why I came, that if there was no electricity in my house, that I couldn't consume because they were closed due to capacity. When in reality the hotel was empty. I wanted to pay for the day pass like a normal customer, open my computer and have a few beers and maybe have lunch. But no, it seems like I'm dangerous for the hotel or something like that," he questioned.
In November, the Cuban photographer and YouTuber Yander Serra denounced that They banned him from entering the Capri hotel and they told him that if he wanted to consume, he would have to do so after the foreign customers.
"This is the Cuba for Cubans, the Capri Hotel in Havana, where the schedule says it opens at 7:00 am, but the managers deny you entry, even though you are going to pay as much as foreigners," said Serra. on Facebook.
Two months earlier, a man walking down a street in Vedado, in Havana, was ejected from the sidewalk where the Grand Aston hotel is located, belonging to the GAESA military consortium.
Randol Doval said that he was walking with his children on 1st Street, in front of the Malecón, and the hotel security guard almost fell behind them to throw them away, and they were just standing there. "The custodian knows that with the crappy salary they pay us in Cuba I can't even look at the hotel, but damn, the sidewalk, even though it doesn't look like any of the ones in Havana, doesn't belong to the hotel, it's from Cuba," he stressed.
