Cuban doctor Lucio Enríquez Nodarse announced on his Twitter account that the Spanish justice system officially admitted his civil lawsuit against the communist Ana Hurtado Martínez for committing alleged crimes against honor.
Enríquez Nodarse shared a judicial document stating that this is an ordinary trial of the right to honor, and notification is ordered to the defendant, who will have 20 business days to respond through a solicitor or lawyer.
If it cannot be notified because Ana Hurtado Martínez is in Cuba, it will be notified through edicts in the Spanish Official Gazettes (BOE).
If no response is received, the trial will be held in his absence and procedural default will be declared, which will lead to a conviction and victory for the Cuban activist.
"This is not a fight of mine against Ana Hurtado Martínez; this is a fight of us anti-communists, against the PCC, and against the Cuban dictatorship," he wrote on Twitter.
The doctor mentioned that has another legal front open against the sympathizer of the Castro dictatorship, which is being carried out in the Barcelona Courts. The civil lawsuit, according to the court document, has an amount of 10 thousand euros.
Lucio Enríquez Nodarse is an anti-communist activist and opponent of the Cuban government. He has been the subject of attacks and accusations from members of the Cuban Communist Party and their sympathizers, including Ana Hurtado Martínez, who allegedly publicly defamed him.
The admission of his civil lawsuit is considered a victory for his cause and a step forward in his fight for freedom and justice in Cuba.
