The Cuban comedian Rigoberto Ferrera celebrated on his social networks the success of the presentation, this weekend, of the show he did at the Café Teatro "Bertold Brecht" in Havana, together with the renowned actor Osvaldo Doimeadiós.
"Yesterday's performance at the Brecht was a resounding and total success. Thank you all for your support," wrote the comedian.
One of the jokes that was made during the evening was the one about the two skeletons that find themselves on a beach in Varadero, with an unexpected ending that undoubtedly made the audience laugh.
Ferrera and Doimeadiós are known throughout the country for their humorous interpretations full of double meanings and mockery of the shortcomings suffered by Cubans and they shared for several hours with the audience of the capital, who did not hesitate to attend to see the show.
The weekend performance was in danger, becauseThe capital's government decided to remove the theater's electrical transformer to meet the demands of a community; although after the commotion that arose on social networks, the service was rehabilitated.
"Does culture matter to the Havana government? I think the answer is obvious. Will we at some point have an iota of respect from the 'competent' authorities? I think the answer is still the one we all know. Is humor important for the national culture or something uncomfortable for the authorities? With each passing day they destroy with total impunity the passion and desire of an entire generation of artists," said Ferrera, when he denounced the situation.
