Cuban boxer Roniel Iglesias achieved his fourth victory in professional boxing by defeating Mexican Mauricio Gutiérrez in the city of Aguascalientes.

On Friday, Iglesias won by technical knockout against his opponent, who did not come out to fight in the fifth round of the eight-round match in the 148-pound division.

"The Cuban's performance was devastating, delivering blows in abundance and leaving the Bull seriously injured. Victory by KOT5 for the 'Legend,'" noted the Espn Knockout portal.

According to that outlet, the fighter from Pinar del Río was solid from the first round, when he knocked Gutiérrez down with a blow to the body. From that moment on, he dominated the entire fight, showcasing power, speed, skill, and intelligence.

As a result, the local fighter suffered nose injuries that prevented him from going beyond the fourth round.

With this new victory, the double Olympic champion from Cuba remains undefeated, while for the Mexican, it marks his second defeat in eight appearances on those circuits.

In September, Roniel defeated the Kazakh Dulat Bekbauov by points at the Boxing Champions Night held in the Turkish city of Belek.

In the five-round match, the Cuban welterweight defeated the current world runner-up with an excellent strategy that combined with the physical responses needed to win without showing signs of fatigue.

His third victory in professional boxing came last March, when he defeated local fighter Eleazar Valenzuela in the Mexican city of Tijuana, in a match that ended in the third round of the scheduled eight.
